Just two weeks in and I found myself struggling to have a photograph for each day. I felt like I was just taking a picture for the sake of taking a picture, and that seemed meaningless. I thought maybe this “photo a day” project was something I should give up. And maybe I still will.
But then I let the dogs out and I looked at the trees against the sky and felt the cool chill of the air outside and first said a silent thank-you for central heating and then just enjoyed the simple beauty of winter here. No, we don’t get snow. This year we haven’t even had much in way of rain storms. But our mild winters are still beautiful in their own way, and deserve a photo or two.
