2010: Everything’s OK, Photo & Soul Food
Everything’s OK.
What was the best moment that could serve as proof that everything is going to be alright? And how will you incorporate that discovery into the year ahead?
(Author: Kate Inglis)
I don’t think I can single out one moment this year. There were a lot of little moments. Simple things like waking up in the morning. Getting together with friends. Spending time with my family.
I think the whole year was one big “everything’s ok” moment for me and I really needed it.
Photo.
Sift through all the photos of you from the past year. Choose one that best captures you; either who you are, or who you strive to be. Find the shot of you that is worth a thousand words. Share the image, who shot it, where, and what it best reveals about you.

I love being an aunt. It’s what I’m best at. Esther took this picture of me and Jared. Ok so it’s not the most flattering picture of me. But I love it anyway because who I was with and how much fun we have together.
Soul Food.
What did you eat this year that you will never forget? What went into your mouth & touched your soul?
(Author: Elise Marie Collins)
I could have several answers to this one.
In 2010 I tried sushi for the first time and fell in love. Sushi is now one of my absolute favorite things to eat.
I hosted a Julia Child themed dinner party in August. It was my first time braising something.
I made my first (and second) turkey this year. Both were amazing.
I baked hundreds of cupcakes, trying new things and making up recipes.
Food is one of the best ways I know to express myself. I love to cook and bake, especially for my friends and family.
I look forward to a lot more of that in 2011.
